Struvite formation is a common, but very treatable problem. Struvite is the formation of crystals and/or stones in the urinary bladder. The Specific Struvite Dissolution FSW contributes to effective dissolution of the bladder stones and lowers the risk for the formation of new stones. This diet is only suitable for temporary use for adult cats.[p]

Temporary wet food diet in paté form for cats with struvite and bladder stones.
Contains lowered levels of magnesium and phosphor to dissolve the struvite stones.
Supports the dissolution of struvite stones with the high acidity level.
This encourages drinking, so the urine is diluted and the bladder stone are 'flushed out'
This food contains fish oil, this contributes to a healthy skin, coat and joints

Suitable for

Not suitable for

Urinary tract stones consisting of calcium-oxalate, ammonium-urate or cystine
Simultaneous use of urine acidifiers
Cats with metabolic or renal acidosis (low acidity in the blood)
Cats with heart failure, high blood pressure and/or oedema (fluid build-up)
Kittens
Pregnant or lactating cats

Ingredients

pork, fish, corn, sunflower oil, egg powder, minerals, fish oil, vitamins and trace minerals (including chelated trace minerals), ammonium sulphate, cellulose powder, psyllium husk, dextrose, xylose, ammonium chloride, taurine. Does not contain added artificial colour or flavour enhancers.
